Earlier we shared some news about our terrific growth in 2012. At that time we already had plans in the works to use that forward momentum to move us even farther in the managed WiFi arena. It is our goal to not keep our growth at a steady rate, but to also build up and improve our systems while offering new services to our client base.

The havoc wrought by Hurricane Sandy was nothing that could have been prepared for by the telecom industries. Cell towers were knocked out which made reaching family and friends via phone calls, texts or internet more than difficult. Lack of electricity made DSL and Cable modems inoperable. But for those places that did have electricity WiFi became a lifeline and was finally recognized as the commodity that it has become.

As many iPad and iPhone users have discovered, there are a number of WiFi issues with IOS 6. Sadly, even more are being reported while the ones discovered early on have not yet been fixed. Frustrated users should be aware that due to these issues their carrier bills my go up significantly and sessions at public WiFi Hotspots may be less than satisfying.

Labor Day celebrates the American worker. It is a tribute to the contributions and the accomplishments of the workforce that is the backbone of our country. Here at One WiFi we are also celebrating the labor of our own team. In the past 60 days we have launched over 1300 new managed WiFi Hotspots across North America.

Loyalty programs have been around for decades. The airline and hotel industry have certainly leveraged the power of these plans and restaurants are not too far behind. Far more restaurant brands are using some form of frequent flyer program to build loyalty and reward their guests for that faithfulness. Knowing how to begin or reinvent your existing program can be daunting. Thankfully there are a number of options to engage your guests.
